And that’s a wrap! We want to give a very special thank you to our first class of the Citizen’s Police Academy. Every single one of you made the class very special to us and we couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to bring this program back with. We hope you enjoyed learning about the department and spending time with us.  The class went over several bureaus and functions of the Shelby Township Police Department such as 911/Dispatch, Drones, Evidence Technicians, Tactical Response Unit (TRU Team), Robots, Use of force and scenarios, Detective Bureau and scam awareness, impaired driving, court proceedings and the Traffic Bureau/fatal crash investigation. If you are interested in signing up for our next class, we will be posting the sign up form in the spring so keep an eye out for it! Thank you class, you rock!
