The Shelby Township Police Department's utilizes CLEMIS Public Crime Search for users to search crimes that occurred in Shelby Township.  This is a public facing application that keeps residents informed of crime that may be occurring in their neighborhoods, around their communities, or close to where they work or shop.  This allows residents to view reported, verified criminal activity near any address, select crime types and date ranges and generate reports. Public users will be able to sign up for notifications and the application will generate an email when a crime fits the criteria they signed up with.  The public user can sign up for multiple notifications with different addresses. Only crimes that have completed a review and approval process are displayed.  Cases under investigation may be excluded from the daily updates.  Other crimes may not be posted due to the sensitivity and rights to privacy of the victims.

This site uses publicly available address information referenced along road geography to position each event in its approximate location.  The addresses listed are APPROXIMATE and do not reflect the actual address at which the event occurred.
