911 Communications Center

Shelby Township Police Department staffs and maintains our own 911 Emergency Communications Center 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our Communications Technicians are highly skilled professionals who truly are the FIRST first responders you will speak to when calling the police or fire departments for service.  Comm-Techs at Shelby rotate through positions in the center that are responsible for dispatching both police and fire departments to emergency and non-emergency calls for service, as well as maintaining constant contact with emergency personnel on the road and running records and identifications checks through a number of secure law enforcement systems.
