K-9 Unit
Shelby Twp. Police Department currently has two K-9 Handlers and deploys two dogs, both German Shepherds. K-9 Morpheus and K-9 Niko both came to us from Shallow Creek Kennels in Pennsylvania and are highly trained dual-purpose police dogs. Our K-9 Officers live at home with their handlers and both are just as comfortable pursuing a bad-guy as they are hanging out at Township functions and posing for pictures with our littlest citizens.
