***PRESS RELEASE***
On 8/29/25, a female from Shelby Township came into the station to report that her ex-boyfriend had violated his PPO by following her in his vehicle and almost running her off the road. While the female was making the report to the police, the ex-boyfriend started calling her cell phone, demanding to talk to her. The Sergeant working in the station answered one of the phone calls to advise him to stop all contact with the female. The male made the statement that he now wanted to harm himself. The Sergeant asked officers to keep an eye out for the suspect and his vehicle. Dispatch was able to access FLOCK and was able to hit on the suspect’s vehicle, currently in Shelby Township.
