MEET THE OFFICER MONDAY!!!

Happy Monday! This week we would like to introduce you to Officer Goebel! Officer Goebel grew up in Clinton Township and attended Chippewa Valley High School. He went on to graduate from Macomb Community College with 2 Associates degrees; 1 in General Studies and 1 in Criminal Justice. Officer Goebel has been with the department for over 16 years! During his time here he had many jobs such as being a School Liaison Officer and being a Patrol Officer for most of his career. Now he is Currently one of two of our K9 Officers working with his K9 partner Niko. He is also a member of the Honor Guard, he is a Field Training Officer (FTO) and a part of the Police Unity Tour. He is trained in many advanced schools such as interdiction training and K9 training. Most recently he graduated from The Handler Trainer Academy. Officer Goebel has achieved many awards in his career such as live saving awards, POAM Officer of the Year winner, and many successful K9 deployments with Niko. Outside of work, Officer Goebel loves spending time with his wonderful family consisting of his wife, 2 beautiful daughters, Niko and his other dog Jarvis! He also enjoys Skiing, cycling, attending concerts and LOVES Michigan football! GO BLUE!
