This week we would like to introduce you to Officer Pomante! Officer Pomante grew up in Metamora Township, just north of Oxford. He attended Oakland University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree with a major in Criminal Justice and a minor in Sociology. He worked at Auburn Hills Police Department in a civilian position for 1.5 years and knew he wanted to be an Officer!  Officer Pomante put himself through the Oakland Police Academy then got hired by Shelby Twp. PD while he was still in the academy. Officer Pomante got hired in April 2021 and started as a Patrol Officer working the road in June 2021. Officer Pomante is currently working dayshift and hopes that one day he can be a part of the traffic bureau or possibly a drug intervention and prevention team to keep our streets safe. Outside of work, Officer Pomante enjoys working out, going out with his friends and traveling. He also has a Belgian Malinois named Riot and she is almost 3 years old. And he Loves sports! College football is his favorite sport to watch. So if you see Officer Pomante out on patrol, make sure to say hello!
