It is Monday but we don’t have an Officer for you to meet today. However, today we would like to meet you by signing up for our 2022 Citizen’s Academy! Our Citizen’s Academy is back this fall and we will meet every Thursday starting September 29^th- November 17^th from 6:30pm-9:30pm. It is an 8 week interactive class going over the daily functions of the Shelby Township Police Department. You will get to experience some use of force scenarios, the K9 Unit, Evidence Technicians, traffic crash investigations, 911 center, Tactical Response Unit, court procedures, the Detective Bureau and investigations. It’s going to be a packed 8 weeks and there is a limited amount of spots for the class. So apply today, the deadline is September 8^th! Attached is the application, applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. We are looking forward to meeting our Citizen’s Academy Officers!
