Are you interested in the Shelby Township Citizens' Police Academy? Here is your chance to join! Our spring 2023 Citizen’s police academy is back and we will meet every Wednesday Evening starting April 5^th-May 24^th from 6:30pm-9:30pm. It is an 8-week interactive class going over the daily functions of the Shelby Township Police Department. You will get to experience some use of force scenarios, the K-9 Unit, Evidence Technicians, traffic crash investigations, 911 center, Tactical Response Unit, the Detective Bureau and investigations, and the Crisis Negotiation Unit.  It’s going to be a packed 8 weeks and there is a limited number of spots for the class. So apply today, the deadline is March 22^nd! Attached is the application, applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. If you were already apart of the fall Citizens' Academy you will be excluded from joining the spring academy. We are looking forward to meeting our Citizens'  Academy Officers!
