The Shelby Township Police Department Community Services Unit will be hosting another Rape, Aggression, Defense (R.A.D.) self-defense class. This course is for females only and is taught by specially trained department instructors with the goal to provide realistic options for resistance and defense against attack to their students.
Our R.A.D. program is a 12 hour course, presented in 3 hours blocks of instruction across 4 days. Instruction consists of classroom lecture, physical demonstrations, and repetitive practice. There is a simulation exercise on the final day of the course. Participation in this simulation is NOT required to receive a certificate. Attendance is, however, required every day.

TIMES: 9AM - NOON each day

REQUIREMENTS: Must be a Shelby Township resident, and minimum age of 12 years old (must be
accompanied by an adult and complete the parental consent form if registering a minor for this course).
