PRESS RELEASE

  On January 2, 2022 at approximately 8:00 AM Officers from this department, as well as the Shelby Township Fire Department, responded to an address on Woodall St near Auburn Rd due to a 911 call of 3 people stabbed.  Upon arrival responding officer’s forced entry into the home after hearing a female inside that was screaming for help.  Once inside the home Officer’s discovered that 2 males, and 1 female, had all been stabbed multiple times.   A 62 year old female and a 63 year old male were transported to the hospital.  The 63 male died at the hospital from his injuries.  The 62 year old female underwent surgery.  She remains in critical, but stable condition.  A 40 year old male was pronounced dead at the scene.  No other people were located inside the home.

  The incident is still under investigation, but at this time the Shelby Township Police do not believe there is a danger to the public.

  More information may be released as the investigation continues.
