The Shelby Township Police are investigating a suspicious incident which occurred today 4/23/22 at approximately 4:15pm on Middlebury, east of Schoenherr. A 9 year old female was riding her bicycle when she was approached by a B/M (approx. age 35-50) in an unknown vehicle attempting to speak with her. The suspect never exited his vehicle. The female rode away on her bicycle without any issues. Any witnesses or citizens with additional information, please contact Detective Treworgy at 586-731-2121 ext. 473.

Shelby Twp DPW is at NB Van dyke & Crawford St for a water main break.  They will have a dig crew out with signs.  Avoid the area if possible.   Thank you!

Residents, visitors and travelers through Shelby Twp, there is a water main break along 22 Mile east of Pinebrook Dr.  Both DPW and Road Commission are on scene and will be shutting down the section of road along 22 mile in both directions between Hayes Rd and Schoenherr Rd.

Hazardous Air Quality Alert

The Shelby Township Fire Department is advising residents in the area north of 22 Mile Road and south of 23 Mile Road between Van Dyke Avenue and Ryan Road to stay away from smoke or remain indoors due to possible hazardous conditions related to a multiple alarm fire at a roofing company on 22 Mile Road.
