Traffic Safety Unit

The Traffic Safety Unit wears many hats. They are responsible for traffic education, traffic enforcement, traffic complaints, traffic studies and traffic evaluations in the Township. The unit is also responsible for our commercial vehicle enforcement.  Throughout the year, commercial vehicles are stopped and the CMV officer conducts vehicle inspections.  The vehicles are  primarily stopped for safety violations. If the vehicles are deemed unsafe, they put out of service and taken off the roads in Bensalem Township.
