It is with heavy hearts that the Cape May Police Department, the Cape May Fire Department, and the Cape May Fire Police announce the passing of John Kennedy.  John joined the Cape May Fire Police as a founding member in 2004 at the inception of the organization and was instrumental to its success.  The Cape May Fire Police Officers are so important to our community and John always answered the call when our officers and the citizens of Cape May needed him the most.  It could be early morning, late evening, or bad weather; John would arrive on the scene with a warm smile and a “How Can I Help Attitude”.  John Kennedy, Badge Number 5208, thank you for your service to our community you will be dearly missed. 

John’s family will receive visitors on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Spilker Funeral Home, 815 Washington Street, Cape May.  A mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday September 24, 2021 at Our Lady Star of the Sea.  Interment will be private and at a late date.
