West Cape May Christmas Parade Sat. Dec 7th 5pm

This is a reminder that the 2019 West Cape May Christmas parade is December 7th starting at 5 p.m.

The West Cape May Bridge will open to attending floats and school bands etc, of which will be directed onto Seashore Road then parked on the side of the road until the start of the parade at their predetermined locations.

Any parade visitor(s), non float or school bands, will be diverted at the base of the West Cape May Bridge to New England Road, where you will travel to Bayshore Road then towards Sunset Boulevard.

You may access Cape May, West Cape May and CMPT this way. Visitors may also utilize the Cape May Bridge off of Route 109 to access Cape May City.

Please note that Carpenter's Lane will have limited parking and various locations of no parking (specifically in the 300 and 400 blocks) as well as Broadway, West Perry, Ocean St. and Perry Street.

It should be also noted that MAC will be hosting their Candel Light House Tours during this time, parts of Columbia Ave. will be restricted to pedestrians only (5pm to 9pm), please use an alternative route.

The parade will end off of Ocean Street, where the participants will be directed towards Beach Ave.

Beach Ave. between Decatur St. and Gurney St. will be used for school bus and float parking, if visiting please park elsewhere.

Acordingly, due to No Parking in these areas, the City of Cape May has offered free parking at the Bank Street lot, located at the intersection of Venice and Bank Street in Cape May. If you should park at this location please make your way to the Washington Street Mall area and/or along the parade route so that you can watch the parade as it passes.

Please plan accordingly dress warm and please be patient as we allow the parade to commence. After the parade traffic may be heavy, please allow the officers to direct you in the safest direction. Be mindful of your family and children as well as the increased traffic / crowds.

Police Officers will be stationed along the parade route to assist anyone need help or direction.
