On April 24, 2026, Sergeant Dornisch and Officer Hearn successfully completed the 80-hour Police Motorcycle Course at the Philadelphia Police Highway Patrol Training Facility. Over the past two weeks, our officers were exposed to the challenges they will face while operating a police motorcycle. This demanding 80-hour course requires dedication and commitment to successfully complete.
At the conclusion of the training, both officers earned their Highway Patrol Wings. These wings symbolize that the officers are not only skilled in the safe operation of a police motorcycle, but also demonstrate a positive attitude, unwavering loyalty, professionalism in character, and integrity in both conduct and appearance.
Officer Hearn has officially begun his Motor Patrol assignment, and Sergeant Dornisch will now supervise the day-to-day operations of the Bensalem Township Police Motor Patrol and Traffic Safety Units.
Please join us in congratulating Sergeant Dornisch and Officer Hearn on this prestigious accomplishment.
