As our nation kicks off the America250 celebration, the Bensalem Township Department of Public Safety encourages everyone to celebrate our country's 250th anniversary safely and responsibly.
Bensalem Township reminds residents that fireworks are prohibited on Township-owned property, including parks, playgrounds, streets, and other public areas. Consumer fireworks may only be used in accordance with Pennsylvania law, including obtaining private property owner's permission and maintaining the required 150-foot setback from occupied structures.
Bensalem Township Police Officers and Firefighters will be actively enforcing Pennsylvania fireworks laws and local Township ordinances throughout the holiday weekend.
Let's work together to keep this Independence Day safe, enjoyable, and memorable for everyone.
Have a safe and happy Fourth of July!
