On Friday, February 20th, members of the Bensalem Township Police Department took part in the 2026 Pennsylvania Special Olympics Polar Plunge. Local police agencies from across the area participated in this annual event, which saw 108 members of law enforcement take the plunge into the freezing water this year.

Proceeds from the Polar Plunge help provide opportunities for athletes in the Greater Philadelphia Region to compete in competitions, improve health and nutrition, receive medical screenings, and so much more at no charge to the athletes.
