BENSALEM POLICE RECOGNIZE LIFE-SAVING EFFORTS
The Bensalem Police Department will be honoring members of the Brookfield Properties Public Safety Department for their live-saving efforts at the Neshaminy Mall. On February 26, 2020 at approximately 9:20 p.m., a public safety officer at Neshaminy Mall was flagged down by a motorist and advised that a 79 year old woman was passed out inside of a vehicle that was parked in the parking lot of the mall. The female was unresponsive and not breathing. The public safety officer began CPR and requested assistance. A second public safety official responded with an AED and a shock was administered. Bensalem Police and EMS also responded and the female was transported to Jefferson Torresdale for treatment. As a result of quick, life-saving efforts performed by the two Brookfield Public Safety Officers, the woman survived.
Bensalem Police will be honoring the two public safety officers on March 12, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at the Bensalem Township Municipal Building, located at 2400 Byberry Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020.
