BENSALEM ARREST WOMAN FROM CANADA FOR THEFT OF GOLD AND SILVER

Bensalem Township Police Department would like to announce the arrest last week of 25-year-old Kaileigh Hogan of Ontario, Canada, in connection with the theft of gold and silver valued at $43,549.00.

On May 11, 2026, Bensalem Township Police responded to a report of a stolen FedEx package. The victim reported that while awaiting delivery of a package containing gold and silver, a family member observed a woman, later identified as Hogan, claim to be the owner, sign for the package, and leave the area.

Investigators used intersection cameras, license plate readers (LPRs), and other surveillance footage to identify the vehicle involved as a Nissan sedan. The investigation determined that Hogan had rented the vehicle from Enterprise Rent-A-Car at Philadelphia International Airport on May 10, 2026. After the alleged theft, Hogan returned to the airport and flew to Arizona that same day.

Bensalem Township Police obtained an arrest warrant charging Hogan with Forgery (F2), Theft by Unlawful Taking (F3), and Theft by Deception (F3). Because Hogan was in the United States from Canada on a visa, investigators contacted U.S. Customs and Border Protection to advise the agency of the outstanding warrant.

On Sunday, July 5, 2026, Bensalem Township Police were notified that Hogan had been taken into custody on the warrant while attempting to cross into Canada at Lewiston, New York.

On Friday, July 31, 2026, Hogan was transported from New York to Bensalem Township Police Headquarters by the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office for arraignment. Magisterial District Judge Michael Gallagher arraigned Hogan and set bail at 10% of $1,000,000.00. Hogan was remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.

Bensalem Township Police would like to thank all the agencies involved for their assistance in locating and apprehending Hogan.
