At approximately 12:44 a.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026, Bensalem Police responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting a shooting at the Top of the Ridge Trailer Park on Gibson Road. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to his left arm and bleeding heavily. Officers immediately rendered life-saving first aid by applying a tourniquet to control the bleeding. The victim was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in critical condition and was subsequently released.
The investigation determined the shooting stemmed from an argument between the victim, who was on foot, and occupants of a red four-door sedan. During a physical altercation between the victim and the vehicle’s driver, a rear passenger fired two rounds. One round struck the victim, while the second struck a nearby mobile home.
The following day, detectives obtained surveillance footage from nearby residences and utilized police department intersection cameras to track the suspect vehicle as it fled the township. The vehicle was also captured by a License Plate Reader, which led investigators to the registered owner’s residence in Levittown. Further investigation identified Travis Fleck, 21, of the 6700 block of Woodenbridge Road, Philadelphia, as a person of interest.
Detectives located and interviewed Fleck, who admitted to firing two rounds during the incident and acknowledged that he does not possess a valid permit to carry a concealed firearm. Fleck consented to a search of his residence, where detectives recovered four firearms, including a 9mm “ghost gun” that was determined to be the firearm used in the attempted homicide.
The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office approved charges, including Criminal Attempt Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Firearms Not to Be Carried Without a License, and related offenses. An arrest warrant was obtained, and Fleck turned himself in to Bensalem Police later that evening.
Fleck was arraigned by District Justice Terry Hughes and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility after bail was set at 10% of $1,000,000.
We commend the officers who rendered immediate first aid to the victim, actions that contributed to saving his life. We also commend the outstanding investigative work of our officers and detectives, who identified the suspect within 24 hours.
