On January 30, 2025, Oscar Castillo-Peralta, 53, from Pleasantville, NJ, began a conversation on the KIK social media app with what he believed to be a 13-year-old female. They traded phone numbers and began conversing via text message. Over the next few weeks, the conversation became sexual, and Oscar Castillo-Peralta started to send nude photographs of himself to the 13-year-old female. He also expressed his desire to perform sexual acts on her and have her perform sexual acts on him.
Oscar Castillo-Peralta agreed to meet at her home in Bensalem on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, when the juvenile's mother was not home and she was all alone. He told her he would dress as a door-to-door religious solicitor and planned to knock on neighbors' doors first so that no one would wonder why he was in the neighborhood.
At 1:30 p.m., on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, Oscar Castillo-Peralta drove from his home in New Jersey and arrived at the home of the 13-year-old. He was dressed in a suit and was carrying religious materials as planned. What he didn't plan for was when police moved in and took him into custody.
Oscar Castillo-Peralta was charged with Attempted Involuntary Sexual Intercourse, Unlawful Contact With a Minor, Corruption of Minors, and related offenses. He was arraigned by District Justice Joseph Falcone and was remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10% of $3,000,000 bail.
