The Bensalem Police Department is proud to share that crime rates continued to trend downward in 2025.  Most notably, Part 1 crimes (serious and violent crime) are down by more than 30% from 2024, with robberies and burglaries reduced by approximately 50% each. Bensalem Police cleared 49% of Part 1 crimes, which is a testament to their commitment to public safety.  Retail theft was also reduced by 24%, partly due to the Bensalem Secure program.  The men and women of the Bensalem Police force do an exceptional job deterring and detecting crime through their proactive efforts.  We will continue to build upon these results with enhanced technologies to assist our police officers in their efforts, with the overall goal of keeping our community safe.
