Members of the Bensalem Police Department were proud to join Philadelphia Highway Patrol and many other municipal police departments with the escort of students from Holy Ghost Preparatory School to deliver their food donations to 93.3 WMMR’s Preston and Steve’s “Camp Out for Hunger.” The Holy Ghost students raised over 13,000 pounds of donated food to assist with the food campaign. It was an honor to help raise awareness for this worthy cause and to escort the students who did an outstanding job in collecting donations.
Director McVey, along with Philadelphia Police Inspector Jack Fleming and Radnor Police Superintendent Chris Flanagan, had the opportunity to go on the air with Preston and Steve to highlight the work the men and women in law enforcement do to assist with this program and also to thank the officers for their daily efforts in keeping our communities safe. Thank you to Preston and Steve for supporting our police officers and having us on the show.
Please keep the two officers from Upper Dublin Police and Abington Police in your prayers as they recover from injuries sustained during the escort of this community policing event. Special thanks to the staff at Jefferson Trauma Center (Center City) for the care they provided to the officers.
