On Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 3:58 AM, the Bucks County 911 Center received a call that heavy black smoke was coming from the roof of the Andalusia Bar and Grill at 971 Bristol Pike in Bensalem. Bensalem Police, Bensalem EMS, and members of the Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department responded to the location and found heavy smoke and fire engulfing the central portion of Grandview Plaza. A second alarm was activated, and fire departments from Croydon, Penndel, and Feasterville assisted with controlling the blaze around 5:00 am.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the fire started in the Andalusia Bar and Grill and spread to the surrounding businesses. The fire caused significant damage to the Andalusia Bar and Grill including a partial roof collapse. 8-10 other businesses in the complex received fire, smoke, and water damage.
No injuries to civilians or fire personnel were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
