On Saturday, October 25, 2025, Bensalem Police were called to the 5000 block of Hunters Court South for a well-being check. Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased elderly female inside the residence.

Bensalem Detectives responded to the scene and were assisted by the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office and the Bucks County Coroner’s Office. The deceased female was identified as Cynthia Bouffard, 70, of Bensalem. She appeared to be emaciated and had been deceased for some time in the living room of the home.

Bouffard’s body was transported to the Bucks County Coroner’s Office, where a forensic pathologist will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.

At this time, Bensalem Police and the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office are treating this as a suspicious death investigation pending the results of the autopsy.

District Attorney Jennifer Schorn and Bensalem Police will release more information once the autopsy results are available.
