BENSALEM POLICE ARREST A PEDOPHILE TARGETING A 13-YEAR-OLD
On Thursday, May 8, 2025, Bensalem Police arrested Ali Memis, 64, Rainbow Lane, Levittown, PA, on numerous charges after he arrived in Bensalem to have a sexual encounter with a 13-year-old female.
On May 1, 2025, Ali Memis began conversing online with a juvenile female whom he suspected to be 13 years of age on a social media app. Over the next week, the conversation with the 13-year-old progressed quickly to become sexual. He sent messages about his desire to perform various sexual acts on the child and that he wanted to meet in person. He repeatedly told the child to delete her text messages and photos and asked if her mother could track her phone.
Ali Memis arranged to meet the 13-year-old at her apartment in Bensalem for a sexual encounter when her mother wasn’t home. On Thursday, May 8th, Ali Memis left his workplace in New Jersey and drove to the child’s apartment complex for the sexual encounter. When Ali Memis exited his vehicle to enter the apartment building, police were waiting and arrested him without incident.
No child was ever in danger during this investigation.
Ali Memis is charged with Attempted Indecent Assault, Attempted Statutory Sexual Assault, Unlawful Contact with Minors, and related offenses. He was arraigned by District Justice Terry Hughes and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10% of $900,000 bail.
Bensalem Police continue to remove these child predators from the streets proactively and will continue these efforts to protect the most vulnerable members of our community.
