At approximately 1:08 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026, Bensalem Police responded to the Karco Gas Station at Street Road and High Avenue for the report of an armed robbery.
The store clerk reported that a juvenile male entered the business and asked for free merchandise. When the clerk refused, the juvenile displayed what appeared to be a handgun and stated, "Do you want this?" Believing the weapon was real, the clerk backed away to avoid further confrontation. The juvenile then took a piece of candy and fled the store.
The clerk provided officers with a detailed description of the suspect. Within minutes, a Bensalem Police detective located a juvenile matching that description on the township's camera system as he entered the Wellington Estates neighborhood. Officers quickly responded and took the suspect into custody at the intersection of Cheltenham Drive and William Penn Drive.
The investigation revealed that the 14-year-old Bensalem resident from Bristol Pike was carrying an airsoft pistol, which had been used during the robbery.
The juvenile was charged with Robbery (Felony) and transported to the Bucks County Youth Detention Center.
This arrest is another example of the rapid response and coordinated efforts of Bensalem Police officers and detectives, whose use of technology and teamwork helped quickly identify and apprehend the suspect.
