I am honored to serve as your Police Chief and to lead the team members of the Golden Police Department.  Our approach to service includes a culture of compassion and equity for all.  We treat people with dignity and respect as we understand our performance and results are measured one contact at a time.

We strive for excellence in everything we do for the residents, business owners, visitors, and stakeholders of our community!  Therefore, we strive to continually learn and improve as individuals and as a team of professionals.  We are committed to evolving with technology, developing sound policies, and implementing comprehensive and successful policing strategies.  We are steadfast in recruiting, hiring, retaining, and training the very best staff in the nation.

Our team is dedicated to keeping you safe and providing the highest level of professional law enforcement service to this community. This job is not easy, yet we always seek to do the right thing for the right reason. Our team members have good hearts and good intentions.  We are not perfect, but our team is as good as you will find anywhere.   I am proud of the work they do and the dedication they demonstrate to our community every day.

We have created a strategic plan in conjunction with the City of Golden Strategic Action Plan.  Our plan generates a vision for the future through multifaceted and comprehensive goals structured to measure performance day to day, month to month and year to year.  We will be flexible and adapt as needed to meet any challenge, doing so with ingenuity, resourcefulness, and expertise.  We are unwavering in our responsibility to meet your expectations and I truly look forward to a bright future together!
