Contact: Community Resource Officer Joe Page or Sergeant Stephanie Sipes
Liquor establishments in the City of Golden are charged with selling liquor responsibly. In an effort to prevent underage drinking and the tragedies that often accompany it, as well as other liquor violations, the Golden Police Department provides TiPS – Alcohol Server and Seller Training.
The Golden Police Department has certified TiPS instructors on staff to help educate those selling liquor in Golden with the proper training.
TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) is a dynamic skills based training program designed to prevent intoxication, drunk driving and underage drinking. The program enhances the fundamental “people skills” of servers, sellers and consumers of alcohol.
There is a $20.00 fee for the training, which covers the TiPS Certification, Certification Card and TiPS Manual.
**These trainings are currently in-person, once you register you will receive instructions.
