SUBMIT A TIP
Although a society free from crime would be ideal, the reality is that, even with a proactive police department, crime will likely always exist. In order to be more effective, the police department relies on information from sources within the community, but we understand that fear of involvement often affects the number of tips we get from the community.
To encourage greater involvement form the community, the Golden Police Department offers a Crime Tip Hotline for reporting information about crimes while staying anonymous, if desired.
The Crime Tip Hotline is available 24-hours-a-day. It is important to provide as much accurate and detailed information as possible. The Crime Tip Hotline should not be used for initial reporting of crimes that have just occurred. This information should be given directly to the Communications Center by calling 303-980-7300.
Although the Crime Tip Hotline provides for anonymous reporting, callers are encouraged to leave contact information in case the investigator working the case has additional questions they think you might be able to help with. You may have a crucial piece of information but not realize its value.
