GOLDEN, CO - The memorial service for Golden Police Officer Evan Dunn will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Mission Hills Church, 620 Southpark Drive, Littleton, CO 80120.

Officer Dunn will be transported to the venue from C-470, northbound on Lucent Blvd to eastbound W County Line Road. Beginning at approximately 10:00 am, W County Line Road will be closed from Lucent Blvd to S Elati Street. Additionally, traffic will be restricted on roads around Mission Hills Church.

A Black Hawk helicopter from the Colorado Army National Guard 2-135th Aviation Regiment will conduct a flyover and land in the area of Mission Hills Church prior to the beginning of the service. Please do not attempt to fly drones in the area.

Officer Dunn’s family and the Golden Police Department greatly appreciate all of the outreach and condolences from the community; however, the memorial services will not be open to the public. 

Community members are invited to safely show support along the sidewalks of Southpark Drive and Southpark Lane. We recommend arriving in the area no later than 11:00 a.m. in order to view the procession. The best approach will be southbound from Mineral Avenue on Southpark Lane or Southpark Way, and proceeding to the observation area on foot.

Golden Police Department Memorial: 
A Golden Police Department patrol vehicle is parked outside of Golden City Hall, located at 911 10th Street, Golden, CO 80401, for receiving caring notes and/or other forms of support that the public may want to leave for Officer Dunn’s family and Golden Police Department.

We understand the news media’s interest in covering Officer Dunn’s service; however, his family wishes to honor their loved one in private. The service will not be recorded for public dissemination and no media will be permitted on-site at Mission Hills Church. 

Media may park at the High Line Canal County Line Trailhead parking lot, located southwest of W County Line Road and Southpark Lane, at 1514 W County Line Road, Littleton, CO 80129.
