On Tuesday 02/28/2023 Golden Police Officers responded to a report of a female breaking into cars at Red Rocks Medical Center, located at 400 Indiana St.  Officers located the female at the Residence Inn by Marriott nearby, and a short foot chase ensued.  The female was caught and arrested.  She was in possession of several forged or stolen identity documents, and a stolen iPad.  An investigation revealed that she was associated to a room at that hotel that had been purchased with a stolen credit card.  A search warrant was obtained and executed, resulting in two felony arrests and the recovery of two stolen handguns, a modified high capacity magazine, a large number of burglary tools and auto theft devices, fentanyl, methamphetamines, benzos, additional painkillers, stolen computers, and numerous pieces of additional evidence.  Two females were booked into the Jefferson County Jail on outstanding felony warrants.  Additional charges will be filed in the coming days.
