On 07/16/2022 at approximately 9:00 PM deputies of the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to two deceased persons just off of Fremont County Road 67 just past mile marker 8.  The responding deputies did locate two deceased persons and called for investigators to respond.  Investigators determined that the location of the deceased persons was on BLM land and that agency was notified.  BLM did request assistance from the FCSO and an investigator was assigned.  The investigators did determine that the deaths appeared suspicious and processed the area as a crime scene.  One of the deceased individuals was male and one was female.  Both were from out of state.  At this time the coroner is attempting to locate relatives of the victims.  This is an active investigation and further details will be released as appropriate.
