Today Colorado Department of Transportation is out at Colfax and the C470 on/off ramp cleaning up old campsites and discarded items. With the large amount of trash, they will be spending most of today walking the property and collecting it all.

Tomorrow they will be returning with a tree crew to thin out and remove the vast majority of the trees as most of them are dead or an invasive species.

Ensuring private properties like this are cleaned up and well-maintained help mitigate fire hazards, as well reducing trespassing and other property crimes.

The success of this project is result of the coordination between the community, Golden Police Department and CDOT. We will continue to identify areas of concern within the city that require attention. Thanks to all involved.
