It is the policy of the Golden Police Department to provide initial and ongoing training that is consistent with the job related and personal development needs of its members.  All new members will receive a New Hire Orientation to introduce them to such things as the organization, culture, supervisors, rules, and regulations, and working conditions.   

Each year all members are required to attend training which provides a variety of well-structured and informative in-service training topics to meet the needs of the organization and to maintain and develop the skills, knowledge, and abilities.  Training includes (but not limited to):
