The New Castle Police Department is currently accepting applications for new officers. The written exam and physical agility test are scheduled for Saturday, September 19th at 9:00 a.m. at the department's location:

The department employs a competitive testing process to select new recruits. This involves achieving a passing score on both written and oral exams, as well as completing a physical agility test. Following the exams, candidates are ranked on a list.

Each applicant who passes the exams and physical agility test undergoes a thorough background investigation. The department hires candidates from this list based on its need for new officers. Even those with no prior experience are eligible, and the department will send successful applicants to the Police Academy for training.
