The NCPD impound lot is located at 28 West Grant Street.  All payments and inquiries need to be made at the NCPD clerk's office.  There is an initial fee of $200 and a $35 fee per business day that the vehicle is in impound.  

You must be the registered owner of the vehicle to remove it from the impound lot.

If your vehicle was towed as a result of an accident, it will likely NOT be taken to our impound lot but to a storage location based on which tow company was used.  

If it was towed to the NCPD lot, you must retrieve the tow slip from the clerk at the Police Station, pay the tow company and then bring proof of that payment to the station.  You must then pay the storage fees before you can retrieve your vehicle from the lot.  The vehicle must have a valid registration, inspection and a licensed driver must remove the vehicle.  If those conditions are not met, the vehicle must be towed from the lot.
