This fall’s patrol class was an intense, hands-on training program for eight new K9 teams from agencies across New Hampshire. Over the past 13 weeks, these teams have spent countless hours working on tracking, article searches, building searches, obedience, and apprehension.
Our own Sgt. Hodgen served as the lead instructor for the class, with Deputy Seamans from Middlesex County, MA, and Officer Sterl from Conway Police assisting. Shortly after, all teams successfully earned national certification through the North American Police Working Dog Association. With this achievement, the teams are now fully operational and ready to assist their communities.
A special thank you to Rebecca Carr of Peace of Mind Canine Training in Loudon for volunteering several days each week to lead an outstanding obedience and neutrality program. We also want to thank the Stanton Grant Program for funding the majority of the K9 training in this class.
