On September 13, 2025, around 9:52 PM, Hillsboro officers (while covering the Town of Deering) responded to a domestic disturbance in Deering involving a firearm being discharged inside a residence. The suspect ultimately fled the scene in a vehicle.

While officers responded to the residence, others searched the area for the suspect. He was later located at one of the Deering Fire Stations and taken into custody by Hillsboro and Antrim Police. He has been identified as Andrew Valliere, aged 61, of Deering.

His vehicle was seized and brought to the Hillsboro Police Department. Following the approval of a search warrant, the suspected firearm was recovered from the vehicle. The suspect was booked and transported to the Hillsborough County House of Corrections pending a future court date.
