The defendant was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for traffic violations. During the stop, it was determined that the defendant had been arrested by the Hillsboro Police Department two days earlier for Domestic Violence-Simple Assault involving the female driver of the vehicle. The defendant had been released on bail with a condition prohibiting contact with the female. By being in the vehicle with her, the defendant violated the conditions of his bail and was subsequently arrested. He was later ordered held without bail and transported to the Hillsborough County House of Corrections.
