Update: Counterfeit Money



Update: The person in the surveillance video has been identified. Thank to you everyone who sent in tips. 


The Mesa County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying a person believed to have attempted to use counterfeit money.

On September 3, 2021, East Valley Liquor reported a customer attempted to make a purchase using a fake $100 bill. The fake bill was confiscated and the person proceeded to pay with real currency. 

Deputies are investigating and are looking to identify the customer. Surveillance video shows a white man wearing a black tank top, black pants, and a black ball cap. The man has large tattoos on his right arm and dark facial hair.
