A suspect, who was previously released on bail, made public threats against a Hillsboro Police Department officer and breached his bail conditions by possessing deadly weapons. As a result, a warrant was issued for his arrest. Law enforcement officers subsequently located the individual at a gas station on Henniker Street, where he discarded his weapons as they approached. He was taken into custody without incident, but attempted to vandalize Hillsboro Police Department property while in custody. Following a bail commissioner's order, the suspect was detained in jail and transported to the Hillsborough County House of Corrections to await arraignment.
