The Lochbuie Police Department is pleased to offer citizens the opportunity to participate in our Ride-Along Program. The program's purpose is to provide interested citizens with an insight into the department's operations. We hope that you will find this experience both informative and enjoyable.

Riders should fully understand the conditions under which the program operates, including:

• You will be assigned to ride with a Lochbuie Police Department officer as they carry out their normal duties and respond to service calls.
• Police officers frequently handle situations involving danger and risk. The officer you accompany will not alter or avoid duties involving emergencies or potential danger due to your presence.
• While your safety is a priority, the officer’s primary responsibility is to perform their assigned duties.
• The officer will be available to discuss their role and responsibilities as time permits. In the event of an emergency, you must immediately follow any instructions given for your safety.

To participate, you may print the ride-along form or obtain a copy at the Lochbuie Police Department. A criminal history check is required for all applicants. The waiver must be completed at least one week before the requested ride-along date to allow time for processing. Additional guidelines will be provided with the waiver. Please include a copy of your driver’s license or ID when submitting your form.
