Registration Hours
Sex offender registrations are conducted at the Lochbuie Police Department during normal business hours:
Monday through Thursday
7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sex Offender Statistics
As of April 2026, there are more than 19,390 registered sex offenders in Colorado. Of those, approximately 570 individuals statewide have been identified as meeting the legal criteria for designation as a Sexually Violent Predator (SVP). Within the Town of Lochbuie, there are currently 30 registered sex offenders residing within town limits, including one (1) individual designated as a Sexually Violent Predator.
Sexually Violent Predator (SVP) Community Notification
The Lochbuie Police Department provides community notification regarding individuals designated as Sexually Violent Predators (SVPs) in accordance with Colorado Revised Statutes 16-13-901 through 16-13-905.
Colorado law authorizes law enforcement agencies to release information to the public when an offender has been determined to meet the statutory criteria for designation as a Sexually Violent Predator and is subject to community notification requirements.
The purpose of this notification is to support public awareness, enhance community safety, and ensure compliance with applicable state law.

Public Notification Methods
To increase community awareness and promote public safety, the Lochbuie Police Department may distribute Sexually Violent Predator notifications through available public communication platforms, including:

- Social media platforms
- Community notification postings
- Other authorized public information channels

Any person who uses this information to harass, threaten, or intimidate an offender, the offender’s family or significant others, or any individual involved in the community notification process may be subject to criminal prosecution.
