The Lochbuie Police Department's Mission, as written in the department policy manual, is “To provide excellent service and protection through leadership and partnership with the community. Protecting the community is at the core of what we do, but we also provide a variety of traditional and non-traditional services. We will accomplish our mission by being leaders in the community and working hand-in-hand with the public to make Lochbuie a great place to live.”

The law enforcement profession carries a heavy mantle. We are ultimately responsible for the safety and well-being of those within our community. We engage others to create a community atmosphere that is vibrant, thriving and one we can be proud of. We do not shy away from danger but rather gravitate towards the unknown. We are charged with enforcing the laws of the land, protecting the innocent and upholding our democratic values. However, it is a calling we freely accept and one that we affirmed with an Oath of Office. 

I am proud of the men and women serving our community as employees of the Lochbuie Police Department. I expect officers to treat citizens with respect and empathy, understanding that if they are in contact with police, they are probably not having a great day. While there are times when we must be forceful, we desire to de-escalate situations whenever possible and assist the citizens in any way we can. 

Our officers are well trained after being hired and continue receiving high-quality training throughout their employment here.

We are a professional, full-service police department that exists to serve the citizens and visitors of the Town of Lochbuie.
