Take Meds Back is here to keep Coloradans safe and protect our environment.
Safely dispose of old medications—like opioids, sedatives, and stimulants—in our secure collection boxes across the state. Through 2024, Take Meds Back has collected more than 408,975 pounds of medication and set a new record in 2024 with over 68,810 pounds collected!
By using a Medication Takeback Dropbox, you help prevent misuse among kids and teens.
And that’s not all— by keeping old and expired meds out of the trash and water supply, you’re also protecting Colorado’s environment and wildlife.
A Medication Takeback Dropbox is conveniently located in the lobby of Lochbuie Town Hall at 703 WCR 37. The kiosk is accessible Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
