The chief was honored to represent Keenesburg at the Weld County Fallen Officers Memorial. A sizeable crowd braved gusty, cool winds to honor fallen peace officers a the County's memorial in Bittersweet Park. Chief Jensen joined Sheriff Reams and 14 other chiefs and dignitaries to read aloud the names of 617 officers who died in 2021. Nine of the fallen were from Colorado and one served in Windsor. Police Officer Ty Powell, of Windsor, died of a coronavirus infection in October, 2021. His name was added to the memorial in Greeley and unveiled during the ceremony.
