Today's the Day!

April 15th is a lot of things to a lot of people. 

• US Income Taxes Are Due
• It's Good Friday, and coincidentally
• It's National Glazed Spiral Ham Day (who knew!)
• It's Take A Wild Guess Day
• It's National Titanic Remembrance Day
• It's Leonardo da Vinci's (and many important/famous peoples') birthday

But today we want to call your attention to your medicine cabinet: it's National Clean Out Your Medicine Cabinet Day! The unused and expired medications inside your home can be dangerous and lead to accidental exposure and unintentional poisoning. Prescription and OTC drugs are the most widely abused substances by Americans 14 and up. Protect your loved ones by safeguarding medications you need and discarding those you don't. 

As a partner in your community, we want to help you as best we can. April 30th (that's only a couple Saturdays in the future) is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Keenesburg Police Department will host a take back event where you can dispose of all your unneeded/unwanted prescription and OTC drugs. 

The PD will be at the Market Street Mart on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 10AM to 2 PM to collect your prescription and over the counter drugs.
