Keenesburg PD had another busy week, responding to 34 calls for service and making 35 traffic stops!
Some of those calls included:
26KE00322:
Allegations were made that Ms. Savannah Linnebur was having inappropriate communications with juveniles. On 5/12/2026, after a month-long investigation, Detective Wilson obtained an arrest warrant for Ms. Linnebur and she was taken into custody for numerous felony and misdemeanor charges.

26KE00447:
On 5/12/2026 at about 7:30 p.m., Keenesburg Officers found a vehicle traveling 103 mph on I-76 eastbound near mile marker 38.
Officers figured the driver must have been rushing to an emergency they were not yet aware of, so they quickly stopped the vehicle to offer their assistance.
Officers contacted the driver, Ms. Anasi Jimenez, and asked about her speed. Ms. Jimenez’s only response was, “I DON’T KNOW!”
Unfortunately for Ms. Jimenez, “I don’t know” is not currently recognized in Colorado as an affirmative defense for speeding.
Ms. Jimenez was issued a ticket and will get the opportunity to speak with a judge about her possible case of lead foot disease.
26KE00449:
On 5/12/2026 at about 9:00 p.m., Keenesburg Officers stopped a vehicle shortly after it got onto I-76 from Market St. for expired plates.
Officers contacted the driver, Mr. Christopher Johnson, and found he was driving on an adult instruction permit. Since those permits come with rules, officers asked for the passenger’s information to determine whether Mr. Johnson was operating the vehicle legally.
For some reason, the passenger was not excited about identifying himself.
After officers obtained permission to search the vehicle and located suspected methamphetamine, they became a little more interested in figuring out who the mystery passenger was.
The passenger eventually admitted he did not want to provide his name because of active arrest warrants that a mean ol’ judge had issued for him. This made officers even more curious about his identity, despite his assurances that he had been working with the courts to clear everything up.
Mr. Victor Pacheco eventually provided his name and was found to have two warrants related to domestic violence issues.
Mr. Pacheco was taken to jail on his warrants, while Mr. Johnson was charged with a license violation and narcotics possession.

26KE00457:
On 5/15/2026 at about 8:21 p.m., Keenesburg Officers stopped a vehicle on I-76 near mile marker 37 for an equipment violation.
Officers contacted the driver, who identified himself as Mr. “Luis Lopez,” although he could not provide any identification proving that was actually his name.
After some back and forth, along with repeated assurances from Mr. “Lopez” that he would never lie to officers about his name, officers decided to use some neat technology to help confirm his identity.
After one final promise that he had provided his real name and date of birth, officers used a fingerprint scanner on the driver.
The fingerprint scanner determined that Mr. “Luis Lopez” was actually Mr. Jose Uribe-Lopez.
Technology: 1. Fake name: 0.
The scanner also showed Mr. Uribe-Lopez did not have a valid driver’s license and had four active warrants for his arrest.
Given all the confusion, officers decided it would be best for Mr. Uribe-Lopez to discuss the matter with a judge. They even provided him a ride to Greeley and a room at the Weld County Jail so he could see the judge the following day.

26KE00460:
Keenesburg Officers observed a pickup truck towing a sedan through an emergency vehicle turnaround on I-76.
Since the pickup was not marked as any type of emergency vehicle, officers stopped the vehicle, or vehicles, depending on how technical we want to get, near mile marker 35.
Officers first spoke with the driver of the pickup, who identified himself as Mr. Daniel Gonzalez. After some clever questioning about other identifying information, it became clear the driver was not being very honest about his name.
Officers used a fingerprint scanner and learned that Mr. Gonzalez was actually Mr. Brian Fresquez. They also learned his license was revoked as a habitual traffic offender.
Officers then turned their attention to Mr. Fresquez’s friend, Mr. Anthony Martinez, who was steering the sedan being towed.
During the investigation, officers learned that neither Mr. Fresquez nor Mr. Martinez actually knew who owned the car they were towing.
This is generally considered an important detail when towing someone else’s car.
By happenstance, a passerby contacted officers and asked why they were towing her nephew’s car. Further questioning revealed Mr. Martinez and Mr. Fresquez were towing the vehicle without permission from the registered owner.
As an added bonus, officers also located suspected methamphetamine in the pickup truck.
Mr. Martinez and Mr. Fresquez were both transported to the Weld County Jail on their charges.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
